Bright Adventures Pre-K Visited East today! We loved seeing so many smiling faces! The sibling love was a beautiful thing to witness!

Last week, Swain High celebrated our amazing teachers and staff with treats that were truly out of this world! šš
šØāš«š©āš« Teacher Appreciation Week was filled with stellar appreciation activities to recognize the incredible work our teachers and staff do every day:
š Monday: Our teachers were treated to a galactic goody treat straight from the office, setting the tone for an extraordinary week ahead!
š Tuesday: We took a "launch" break with a sizzling BBQ sponsored by the central office, fueling our team with delicious food and camaraderie.
āļø Wednesday: Was a "sun"sational day as Mrs. B, Mr. T, and Denene brightened everyone's lunchtime with heavenly sweets, making midweek feel like a delightful breeze.
ā Thursday: We soared through the day with a "cosmic" coffee break, thanks to our high-flying administration delivering tasty coffee drinks right to our doorsteps.
š Friday: As the week drew to a close, our stellar staff got to pick up their "Swain Swag" Maroon Devil shirts, a token of our gratitude for their dedication and hard work.
š Thank you to our incredible teachers and staff for everything you do! Your passion, dedication, and tireless efforts make our school community shine brighter every single day. Here's to you, for reaching for the stars and making a difference in the lives of our students. You truly are the stars that light up our galaxy! šš

*Bathing suits (core of students body must be covered)
* Girls - one piece, tankinis, rash guards, or t-shirt
* Boys - swim trunks/shorts with shirts or rash guards on top

At Bright Adventures students are earning their Leader in Me Lighthouse Status!
Wednesday was Clean and Green day at East, students participated in a variety of activities to spruce up their campus!

Swain High School Principal Sonya Blankenship was recognized by the NCHSAA as one of their Women's Leadership Spotlight
Since the start of the 2023-24 school year the Swain County Schools Foods and Nutrition services have served 100,390 lunches to the students of Swain County Schools!
Students from Mrs McClung's 6th grade class recently finished a book project. This project involved the students actually performing every aspect of the book process. They collaborated on the stories, artwork, layout, all things related to the book. The finished product was a great success. The students and their book were featured by Rex Hodge of WLOS on their Carolina Moment segment of the evening news!
